RUNNERS/WALKERS - Ever dreamed of running at an airport?
ATTENTION all you adventurous runners and walkers!
Join us at the Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport, 80 Airport Rd., Swanzey, NH 03445 at 9:00 am for the Keene Airport 5K to benefit The Keene Senior Center.
REGISTER TODAY! Registration is open now and on the day of the race! We’re also bringing plenty of excitement with great prizes, including a special random drawing for a helicopter ride.
- Walkers and runners begin at 9:00 am.
- Corporate teams are encouraged to sign up.
- Strollers are ok. No dogs, please.
- Fly in runners welcome, Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN) is less than an hour by air from all the major commercial centers in the Northeast.

On April 6, 2024, the Keene Senior Center hosted its premiere Airport Run, with over 237 participants at the Dillant-Hopkins Airport in Keene, NH. In 2025, the race was held in May to take advantage of spring weather. It was a good running day with temps in 50s and a partially cloudy sky. There were 238 runners and walkers.
Thanks to generous sponsorships, the 2025 5K raised $23,000 which is a significant increase over 2024. This event has become the Center's premiere fundraiser with the proceeds underwriting the Center's Cheshire Village at Home program and the Senior Center’s activities. We thank our past sponsors and welcome new ones!
In Cheshire County, 1 in 5 residents is 65 or older, which is expected to rise to over 40% by 2040. Over 25% live alone, with Keene having the highest concentration of seniors in the county. Older adults, especially those living alone, are at greater risk for isolation, poor nutrition, and health issues.
The Senior Center helps keep 400 + seniors stay active and social through wellness programs, clubs, educational programs, games, music and dance groups, social dinners, daily hot lunches, and entertainment. The Cheshire Village at Home program offers services including transportation, household chores, phone check-ins, and social visits, all of which ease the burden on seniors and their families.
New Hampshire does not provide funding for senior centers, so The Keene Senior Center relies on donations to continue serving the community. Please consider supporting this event in 2026. Sponsorships offer visibility through advertising and event materials.
